Madawaska Lake, Maine   

Located in northern Aroostook County, Madawaska Lake has been a special summer place for camps for over one hundred years. Early Swedish settlers cut a road through the forest from Stockholm, Maine to the lake not long after the first pioneers arrived in 1870. Many generations since have enjoyed the solitude and happiness that only a lakeside holiday can bring.
