Resided in Warwick, Rhode Island in 1971 at the time of her sister Ida’s death;
72Brita and Alfred Swenson (seated in front) were the first settlers in Stockholm, Maine. Mrs. Swenson wrote an account of their arrival in 1881. Standing next to her are Mildred Hedman (Taylor) and Beatrice Hedman (Watson). In the back row are E. O. Hedman, holding alfred, Ida Hedman, Emmy Jepson, Eddy Jepson, Lottie Tjernstrom and Carl Tjerstrom. This photograph is owned by Blenda Tjernstrom Dempsey, granddaughter of Stockholm's first settlers.
